STORY
Bogland Irish Whiskey is a blend of Single Malt and Single Grain Whiskey. It is matured in a combination of American Virgin Oak, Ex - Fill Bourbon and Ex - Sherry (Malt) Casks. Specifically, 60% Single Grain Irish Whiskey is aged in American Virgin Oak Barrels, 32% Single Grain Irish Whiskey is aged in first fill Bourbon Barrels, and 8% Triple Distilled Single Malt (aged in Sherry casks).
Bogland is mellow in character, but with added depth and complexity for its relatively young age due to the spirit and the wood aging policy. Our Whiskey is aged for a minimum of three years and is proofed at 43% ABV. Bogland is Non - Chill Filtered and there are no colors or flavors added. Our whiskey is distilled and matured at the Great Northern Distillery, Dundalk Co. Louth Ireland.

2 oz Bogland Irish Whiskey
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup
1 Egg White
Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker WITHOUT ice and dry shake for atleast 30 seconds. Add ice and shake it up some more until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail coupe and serve.

2 oz Bogland Irish Whiskey
1 oz Simple Syrup
1 Shot of Espresso
1 ½ oz Heavy Cream
Method: Add Bogland, simple and heavy cream to a shaker WITHOUT ice and shake. Add the shot of espresso to a cocktail coupe or glass. Strain the Bogland mixture to the espresso and serve.

¾ oz Orange Curacao
¼ oz Fino Sherry
1 Dash of Reagan's Orange Bitters

Method: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice
and stir until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with an orange twist and serve.

boglands
In their natural state, peatlands can be best described as the "lungs of Ireland". There is evidence to suggest extracted peat was used as a source of fuel over 1,000 years ago. It remained a consistent foundation throughout the development of the country, playing a significant part in the economic growth of many rural areas. For Ireland and its bogs specifically, the current estimates indicate a very bleak picture. Two hundred years ago, Ireland had approximately 310,00 ha of ‘Active Raised Bog’ (ARB). Today, that figure has dropped to approximately 1,700 ha – equating to a huge 99.45% loss of habitat. The primary aim of peatland restoration is to restore the natural, hydrological condition through drain blocking.

As a proud Irish Whiskey brand, we are playing our part to help preserve and restore the bogs in Ireland. A percentage of proceeds from the sale of each bottle of Bogland Irish Whiskey will be donated to RPS Group to help rehabilitate the hectares of raised bog for climate and biodiversity benefits.
